81-40 Auto Service

I called Daniel with 81-40 Auto Services Monday afternoon and had the car in the shop the very next day, he found out all the problems with it in just a few hours and fixed it same day. He explained everything that was wrong with it and how he fixed it, he even showed me what was wrong with it which most mechanics don't do. Daniel explained everything in such great detail and the things I didn't understand he explained it to me in a way that makes sense. His prices and hospitality are the best in town. Most shops would say there are millions of problems with your vehicle and try to charge you $1000+ instead he was an upright, outstanding, and honest guy, who charged me an excellent price for everything. I stopped in Salina, KS during a drive across the country with my cat, but ran into an issue with my truck upon arriving where it was making a loud sound when turning corners in the parking lot. It seemed to me there was a major problem with my truck and I expected to be delayed on my trip and have to pay a hefty sum of money, if I could even find someone on a Saturday who could take a look at my truck. Working in, but not from town, I googled several auto shops and chose 81-40 because of the reviews. Stopped in to get an estimate for some minor wiring-work and literally completed it that same day. Dan, the owner was great & extremely knowledgeable! Very friendly, upfront and straightforward, which I appreciated. I don’t leave many reviews, but I highly recommend considering this shop. My daughter's headlight went out. Late Saturday Daniel took a look and the lights were working fine. He ran through several scenarios of what may have happened and gave us his card - told us to call anytime if this happens again. He didn't charge us anything. An honest mechanic is hard to find. He was very knowledgeable about anything Auto related. I'll have no trouble sending my daughter back to his shop if she has any issues with her car.

He is an excellent mechanic and makes every effort to save the customer money by only putting on needed products and service.
