A-1 Automotive & Towing

Ivan came through for me (again) when my SUV broke down 100mi from home, went and got it and repaired it good as new!

This weekend my wife and I had taken our pickup and travel trailer to go camping at the Agua Piedra campground in the Carson National Forest. We pulled into A-1 Auto & Towing to fill up on gas. After filling up, I got back in the truck, started the engine and went to put it into gear only to have the shifter go all the way to the bottom...never engaging any of the slots (P-R-N-D-M). What a SINKING FEELING!!! I saw some guys at the shop door and walked over and asked if the mechanic was available. Two of the guys immediately grabbed a jack, stand and mat and came over to take a look and within a minute found the problem. The bushing in the shifter arm on the side of the transmission had come apart and needed to be replaced. He did not have the part, but was able to patch it together

I have not actually visited the shop but the owner has been working on my sons car for awhile and so far I have had nothing but positive communication with him and his staff. Very professional very kind and I really appreciate the help I have received from them. This place was recommended by a mechanic shop in Taos

Always Gas up here when we cruise through town. Ivan hooked it up with a nice fitted hat so I wear it with pride!
