I didn’t pass smog the first time, but A1 Smog and Auto Repair in Davis quickly found the problem and fixed it at a fair price. The customer service and communication were excellent, and they made the whole process stress-free. Everyone there was friendly, professional, and honest. Plus, I’m in love with the shop dog! He made the visit even better!

I have had my car, my wife’s car, and my daughter’s car serviced here for a few years now and have had uniformly honest and excellent service, up front (and low!) pricing, so much better than the Hanlees in town. Whether it’s major or minor service or troubleshooting, Jon (and his dog!) are the best.

So glad I found this place! I immediately felt comfortable in the air conditioned waiting room. The owner was friendly and efficient. I was in and out for my smog much quicker than expected. I enjoyed watching John’s loyal service clients coming and going. He has a friendly relationship with everyone who comes through the door! My daughter had fun petting his giant golden retriever, Dude. If you’re looking for a smog or to service or repair your car, don’t hesitate! You’ve found another Davis gem.

John is very nice and very trustworthy…he will give you the costs and time of maintenance before you hand him over your keys…we are locals at Davis so if i have some maintenance issues. I call him from where I work (not far from his workplace)and he just come pick my car up and bring it back after he is done at my work, you don’t have to take a day off or miss your work …Love the service and his kindness…Thank you John.
