AAA Transmissions and Autorepair

I’ve used AAA Transmission several times over the years mainly because they were close to my office and their pricing was similar to other shops. Unfortunately my experience has been very disappointing. The issue I have is with the way they handle “rebuilds.” When they quote you to rebuild or replace a transmission, it sounds like they are fully rebuilding the unit. In reality, they appear to only replace the parts that are visibly damaged at the time and leave the rest. You are still charged as if the entire transmission has been rebuilt. Every transmission I’ve had done by them has failed shortly after the warranty period ended. Because of that, I’ve had to pay another shop to redo the work properly. Ive had the pleasure of talking with Cory today with his help on my car. Although the shop is not able to work on my type of car, unfortunately, but he recommended a shop that does deal with my car. I greatly appreciate all the support he gave all day and the laughes as well they have been very much so needed. 😊

I known the owner since elementary school. Paid 3450.00 to have my tranny “bulletproof” with billet internals. Only for the overdrive to go in less than 6k miles. Had the truck in shop getting motor done and finally got it driving again and send it to my friend only to be told they won’t warranty it bc it was over 18 months but I had messaged him 12 months later with a whining and overdrive issue. Was told it was transfer case and they told me 4250.00 to rebuild it again, I don’t think any tranny should go out at 6k miles after spending money with a friend. I wouldn’t recommend them if they paid me to tell you to. Crooks.

Installed transmission and instead of removing the transmission pan to drain the fluid and fill it with the new fluid, they drilled a hole into the transmission pan to drain what ever they can drain. I understand that the transmission pan doesn’t have a drain plug. But doing a perfect job for the much charged money is very important. I have to replace the transmission pan and transmission fluid again. My recommendation is be careful and watch out.

I brought my car in on a Monday and left it until Friday to have the transmission inspected. I never received a call about it. Drove up, asked the mechanic about it and was told it needed transmission replacement. No other info could be provided since the boss had to inform customers. Well, the boss didn't answer the phone or call back. So I took my car to another shop and for $207 my transmission issue was sorted in one day. Dang shame, I live close and wanted to support local business but this shop seemed shady AF.
