AAMCO Transmissions & Total Car Care

I am remiss on not sharing my experience with the Team at AAMCO sooner. My 2006 Hyundai Tucson manual transmission with only 60,000 miles on it all of a sudden, I couldn’t get the car into 1st gear, fifth gear, or even reverse gear was problematic. I had no idea who, what or where to turn to?!?!? I took a long shot and called AAMCO in Lakewood NJ. I only live about 10 minutes away from the shop. I met Roy and Cody. Cody took my car for a short drive and came back and had his team look the car over. Lo and behold, the transmission was shot! Now, the team found a used transmission in Georgia with the same mileage as mine. We ordered it and it was delivered about a week later. Absolutely the best I could've asked for with my car. I brought it in April when my engine light came on. They couldn't get the transmission to cause trouble and only cleaned the fluids. However, when it caused more trouble 2 weeks ago they looked at it immediately. Cody was with me every step of the way and I truly appreciate all of the work. He even met me when I dropped it off despite it being after hours and on a Friday. Despite the holiday weekend they got me a new transmission after giving me 3 price options. My refurbished transmission comes with a 12,000 miles/1 year warranty and I couldn't be happier.

I highly recommend AAMCO in Lakewood, NJ. Cody was very patient and explained thoroughly what is going on with my car. I had my car's ignition coils and spark plugs changed. My car feels great again and accelerate very good! The labor and services charges were fair. If I have any issues with my car, I will trust this company. Thank you guys! Aamco Transmissions Lakewood has a great team. We had a warranty for our transmission and Roy and Cody really worked hard to get it covered for us. The team was proactive in getting the job done and always updating us. We appreciate the excellent job so much.
