AAMCO Transmissions & Total Car Care

Very unsatisfied with there service I get my car back and it had a dent on the left side tire on the driver side. Got my car towed over there of possibly transmission issues! They want to charge me 8 thousand to get it fixed if I agreed and before they inspected it I had to agree to pay 2 thousand 7 hundred that is outrageous. I try to explain that my car can still reverse and drive and has no check engine light but hesitate to change to second and third gear but still does change. They are blaming the tow truck driver that they did the damage. Very unsatisfied with there service I feel that they see a woman who doesn’t know much about vehicles and just want to take advantage of the situation

I had an excellent experience at AAMCO in Las Cruces. My daughter and I were traveling from San Diego to Dallas when our check engine light came on unexpectedly. We searched for nearby repair shops and recognized the AAMCO name, so we decided to stop in. Pat and Katelin assisted us immediately and resolved the issue quickly and efficiently. The repair was completed in record time, allowing us to continue our trip with peace of mind. I would also like to thank the technician who performed the repair, though I unfortunately did not catch his name. Pat went above and beyond by offering to drive us to a nearby restaurant while the vehicle was being serviced, which was greatly appreciated. This place is a joke! I took my Mercedes Benz they kept it for a week charged me a little over 2,000 just to give it back to me the same way I brought it in. All I wanted was a tune up & oil change. But they added all kinds of unnecessary charges & I doubt they even did what they said they did to car. Seems like a bunch of scammers.. PLEASE DO YOURSELF a favor & go somewhere else. And they have horrible customer service I walked in and the the man behind the desk was just chatting with another man didn’t recognize I was even standing there. And just kept talking. I call to see what they can do to fix it and of course they want to take it & look at it & charge me more money.. my friend took her car there & they wrecked it. DO NOT TRUST THEM!

Haven't had any work done yet, just calling to check and usually customer service is amazing. I wanted to ask if you guys a question. I'm trying to get a 84 firebird trans am worked on although I cant register it until it runs so the DMV can check it out. Can I bring just the carburetor? I was told yes previously and today I called and was going to bring the carb and was told not to unless its attached to the rest of the vehicle which I can't do till its registered. It was truly a pleasurable experience taking my car for transmission work at AAMCO Las Cruces, NM. Dean and Kaitlin are wonderful people. Both are genuinely courteous, helpful, friendly, and professional. I am thoroughly satisfied with the services rendered. Their shop is quite cozy too. I highly recommend this auto business.
