AAMCO Transmissions & Total Car Care

The day before I took my car to AAMCO, I smelt a burnt rubber smell on the way home from work, and once I got home noticed the transmission oil was very dark and had the same smell. I was recommending to take it into AAMCO. When I did, I sat there for about 3 hours, missing work, until someone finally came out to talk to me. He immediately started talking about prices and estimates for a new transmission, without telling me specifically anything that was wrong with it. I told him I bought the car for 2500, and putting a 5-6k transmission was not an option, but he recommended that I needed a new one. He said he would send me estimates later that day, but I never heard anything. Maybe a month later, my car broke down. I had it towed to a shop, where they put in new spark plugs to fix the iss

I would like to personally, thank AAMCO & Carvana. We, just purchased another vehicle. We, noticed a couple of oil spots on our driveway. I don’t know about vehicles mechanically, to well. I called Carvana. I was able to get right in. AAMCO, I seen they had good reviews. We, made an appointment we were in within a couple of hours. After, inspection our SUV had been serviced upon delivery. The oil reservoir plug had a crack on it. Possibly, from to much tension on the oil plug . #Larry called us mentioning the price was under $20 bucks. We, had picked up the suv within a couple of hours,friendly experience! Larry and his team are the best there is out there! Took my Denali in because I thought it was my transmission lines. Larry called me back a day or so later and told me it was my steering gear box that had been leaking and that both of my valve cover gaskets were leaking pretty bad along with the Oil pan gaskets. We agreed to go ahead and fix it all, after that he test drove it and found another problem , there was transmission fluid in my coolant. I was wondering how that happens so he asked me to come up there and take a look so he could explain it better. Once there he broke down all the possibilities it could be, narrowed it down to the Radiator. After all is said and done my ride is ridding better than ever. Brought my daughter’s 2016 Cruze in for not shifting into gear and thought the worst (Transmission). Turns out, Larry called and said it was the plastic piece connecting the linkage, and I could pick it up. Next time I am having transmission issues, taking it to AAMCO in Norman.

Very professional, and very quick to help with any knowledge or Problems you may have, I Dealt with Larry , Very good guy, we ran into some snags, but he was quick and courteous was all my needs and questions, And willing to go out of his way to make sure I got taken care of ,great customer service, I highly recommend using this shop, I will use them again for any future issues I may have with my vehicles.
