Do not take your vehicles here. Had my clutch replaced which is a very simple job and in the process they completely damaged my front bumper and caused my radiator to crack and start leaking. They refused to take responsibility for it and I had eat the cost myself.

I have a 2017 Chevy Tahoe and my transmission went completely out! My bf found this place and I am so glad that I trusted everyone here with my truck. I got The Transmission built back in March and now it’s July and I still have no issues. It runs like a gem! I highly recommend anyone to come here if they’re having issues with their transmission. I am so happy with their work.! Thank you! Also, he got my truck in so quick and it was done so fast. Highly recommend.

CUSTOMER BEWARE - GO ELSEWHERE! We knew Mel for decades through racing community and thought he was trustworthy. Brought transmission for our company truck in for diagnosis and rebuild, cost was not an issue, which he understood. He ‘rebuilt’ the transmission, which crapped out within 40 miles of leaving his shop. He wanted to charge more to re-diagnose and ‘put a tune in it’ which according to a factory technician and another repair facility is pure bs. He didn’t want to work things out in a business-like manner, so we took it elsewhere, paid about the same, it’s been running great for 5,000+ miles.

I had a transmission replaced in my jeep compass. Needless to say I had to bring my car back 4 times for the transmission In less than 1 yr. The transmission is shot!!! It's under warranty and they REFUSE to give me my money back. I guess I have to go to Court with Academy transmission. Would NEVER recommend them for any car services

I had an issue with my torque converter on my 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and Academy transmission came highly recommended. I met with Mel and was very comfortable with the information he gave me about the repair of my vehicle.They completed the job I. A reasonable amount of time and at a reasonable price. I would highly recommend Academy transmission to all of my friends. They were up front with the repair, the price was reasonable and the service and friendly atmosphere will keep me coming back. If you have an issue with your transmission the check these folks out. I guarantee you will not be disappointed. These folks really know their stuff when it comes to transmissions. Don't go anywhere else but Academy transmission.
