Ace Muffler Shop

I called the shop on a Sunday morning , supposedly wasn’t opened for work but Carlos had happened to be there in the shop and said he would gladly help me put on my new catback exhaust system and new catalytic converter. It took an hour solo by himself but I watched him do it throughout. If I were to put it on myself, I would have ran into an issue with the piping and wasted time, which he fixed by cutting the exhaust and rewelding it to match screws. I am overall very satisfied with my experience here and happy the way the exhaust sounded coming out. Really cool guy. Thank you Carlos 👍 Definitely recommend

I pulled up & Carlos saved me from my rattling muffler. He installed a new magnaflow muffler in an hour while I hung out in the movie theater and had a drink. $400 out the door, no ordering or hassle, super happy to have my Miata humming along happily again. Would highly recommend Ace Muffler Shop.

Carlos is great to work with and delivered a great product faster than he promised. He also helped us diagnose other problems and recommended a great mechanic right up the street. He keeps a lot of stock on hand so it's likely he can help you day of if you call ahead of time. Like other folks have said, he doesn't have set hours but either will or won't be open 🤷‍♂️ just call Carlos! A service not listed, but he does muffler installs too (if you bought a custom job by somebody else with a fart can on it)

To say we are IMPRESSED is an understatement! We had a fantastic experience all the way around. Very nice shop! We stumbled upon Ace and couldn't be happier with Carlos and his services! We have a VW campervan and are adding a hitch to attach the Yakima EXO system with a storage box on the back of the van and we were worried the exhaust would burn/melt the storage box. Carlos custom made a new pipe for us that turns out to the side and he painted it black. It's perfect for our needs and looks fantastic! THIS is the only place anybody should ever go to in San Diego for their muffler needs. Carlos is extremely knowledgeable, fast-thinking, efficient, does great work!!! And the coolest thing just might be that amazing movie theater room he has inside his shop - mind-blowingly cool!

Very impressed with the quality of work and attention to detail on my exhaust system. The owner did a great job and far exceeded my expectations. Got the job done faster than expected and the price was less than Midas quoted me for an exhaust system 20 years ago. Recommend 100%.
