Shop at store weekly. New manager refused to loan me scanner.l have purchased many parts from store over years.i will now switch to auto zone for my auto parts.

I don't know about other Advance Auto Parts stores but the one in Glasgow, Ky won't refund the customer's money if they give you the wrong part or tool. My brother recently had issues with his car and needed a steering wheel puller and he got one from Advance Auto Parts but it wouldn't work so he took it back and explained everything and the guy said they DON'T do refunds they would give him another one but my brother had already ran all over Glasgow looking for the Correct tool he needed and he just wanted the money he spend on the WRONG tool that Advance Auto Parts' computer said would work and it didn't. My brother is on disability and money is tight so when he rents or buy a tool/part and it doesn't work then that is money that is needed to get the correct part. I will say that after a
