I usually dont write reviews but the below experience in UTAH being an Utahan made me to express my dissatisfaction! I was very disappointed with the service I received during my recent vehicle rental experience with Affordable Rent A Car (Airport location) which seems to be a local family owned business in Utah. I had high expectations given the company's reputation, but unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. The passenger van I was provided had mileage limitation which i came to know only when I went to pick it up. There is a discrimination on local vs out of state customer. The local gets 150 miles per day and out of state customer has 200 miles free per day and then .25 cents for additional mile. This is no were mentioned on the third party sites (expedia, hotels, et

Friendly, nice service. Upgraded us for free when the car specs did not completely match our booking. Super nice vehicle.

I made a reservation on line. We were traveling to north rim of the Grand Canyon (387 miles from their office) with 14 people. I got a confirmation with the destination. I then spoke to them and once again told them I was going to the Grand Canyon. Told them the hotel we were staying in and gave them drivers license and insurance info. I called today (a day before the reservation pickup) to see if I could pick up the van an hour earlier. They said sure. Then I get a call back saying my travel was outside their travel radius (500 miles). Remember the google map distance from their office is 387 miles. They cancelled the reservation. Awful customer service.

Affordable rental car was by far the easiest rental car agency out there. They were quick to pick up and drop off. They were the most affordable place to rent a car. They even called us more than once to make sure we had a ride to the location since we were flying in and rented from the state street location. The workers were so down to earth and nice. We had one little issue with the car too and they did a great job at resolving the issue. We will definitely be renting from them when we go to SLC! If you want to save a headache you should too.

I highly recommend Affordable Rent-A-Car. Their staff are very kind, helpful, and communicative. Their vehicles are clean and reliable. I have been renting a vehicle through them for nearly two months now due to an ongoing vehicle repair and insurance debacle-- Affordable Rent-A-Car has been the only party throughout who has made me feel seen and heard. They have been incredibly understanding and considerate toward me during what is otherwise an extremely frustrating process, and I cannot thank them enough!
