1970 Toyota FJ40 Sat in the woods of southern Vermont for 35 years, was the cozy residence of many generations of woodland creatures. Pried away from the original owner and a full body-off Frankensteinien rebuild is undertaken, including a tub from Nevada (it’s kind of a 1974 now too). The carb was removed, lightly cleaned and hit with a hammer. Surprising no one, it did not want to budge. OEM carb from an online parts supplier? Unavailable. Alternate carb conversion? Unreliable. Guy in California? Many thousands, plus my core, plus shipping, both ways. Finally found Jeff and in a reasonable amount of time, for a reasonable amount of money, he provided a like-new rebuilt OEM carburetor. He is the BEST! 🙌🏼 he really knows what he’s doing and did an amazing job rebuilding our 1949 Chrysler Windsor carburetor; he did such a fantastic job that my husband who is not a mechanic installed the carburetor with his instructions. I will upload pictures, I wish I can give him 10 stars, he has an outstanding customer service too. We will definitely recommend him!

HUGE shout out to AJ Thomas Carburetor Shop for rebuilding my carb and sharing all the expertise he has. He dialed in my carb after rebuild on his own 454 big block to eliminate a variable when getting my motor running again (had lots of issues to say the least lol) If anyone is looking for a carb guy, he’s the one. From mild to wild, this guy has and does it all.

The best around. Fixed the carb on my 66 Wildcat and she has never ran better. Man is a genius when it comes to carbs and tuning. If you need your carb worked on, look no further.
