Alamo Rent A Car

Rented a car at Alamo through Costco. Despite a long line of customers, Linda and her colleague did a wonderful job greeting each entering customer and ensuring each customer had their requests met. She did not cut any corners and thoroughly explained the checkout process. Note that rental cars are returned at the airport, which was very convenient for me.

Staff at pickup and drop off was friendly and helpful. Had to wait 20min for shuttle from Tucson airport to offsite location which driver said was due to shift change. Vehicle was as promised and good. Second good experience in a row from Alamo, will stay with them.

Make sure to get the car a day early because you may need to wash and maintain it prior to departure. Great cars just subpar vehicle care.

We had pre-booked a car to pick up at Tucson Airport and then drop it off at LAX, directly from the Alamo website. When we got there, the lady basically told us that they do not allow drop-off in other cities and that we needed to drop it at Tucson airport instead. When we tried to explain that the Alamo website itself let us book a different city drop off, she started feeding us bogus excuses that we actually booked through a third party and that’s why we were able to do so, which is completely untrue. It was clear that they were running out of cars, and clearly did not want one to go all the way to California. Absolutely appalling experience (especially after 30 hours of travelling to get here), I would absolutely not recommend, especially if you are trying to drop the car off somewhere

Brice was great to work with. He was efficient and gave us clear and understandable information. Getting our vehicle took a short time, which was much appreciated after our long trip. The vehicle (Chevy Blazer) was clean and comfortable. Return couldn't be easier. We are very satisfied with Alamo and will be return customers.
