Altamont is hands down the best mechanic you will find in the Asheville area. Zach, Cody, and team are extremely knowledgable and fair. They will take the time to get your car fixed right, and also save you some money vs the other shops around town. Altamont has kept our old Rav4 running great over the years, at a fraction of the cost the dealership originally quoted us for repairs. Altamont rocks.

I got my car towed to Altamont after breaking down nearby. I knew the issue was either Kind of bad (seized AC) or really bad (Timing Chain). Zach got me diagnosed and presented all very honest and sensible options to fix the issue (AC). I was up and running in a few days. Would recommend to anyone

I am VERY grateful that I found out about this shop! They helped me in an emergency situation when my '96 Subaru Legacy had the front left axle go out, right before my shift at work! They worked me in between there pre-schedualled appointments, to fix my axle the very next morning! These guys have really impressed me, and do very amazing work, at a VERY economical price. I will ONLY be using these guys as my mechanic, until I move someday from the Arden, NC area!!
