Having no prior experience with or firsthand knowledge about Alternative and the team there; I rolled the dice and took a chance driving from Jenks, bypassing dozens of more convenient shops. I based my decision on their reviews and because they are highly rated, experienced Ford mechanics. I got my F150 back and I was more than satisfied with the work they performed. It sounds and rides better than before. I’m glad to finally find a shop I truly want to return to. And that’s because of their honesty, efficiency, attention to detail & thoroughness, and not once did I feel I was being up sold. I am done with dealerships hacks. This shop is one of the friendliest and honest mechanics I’ve used. The gentleman I worked with, Michael, was extremely knowledgeable and explained things to make it simple for someone with little experience working on cars like myself. It was also a way faster experience than anticipated and had me in and out in the same day, with having to order a part from a city over. Highly recommend contacting them for any vehicle issues you may have first.

2025 Kia Carnival. I had an issue with HVAC system. I went to the dealership as it is still under warranty. Found out it was a mouse that chewed a wire and not covered under warranty. Dealership was going to charge over $3k to just replace the wire harness. I took it to another dealership that tried fixing but they did not know how to fix it Found Alernative Automotive. They had all the same equipment as the dealership to fix it and instead of just replacing parts, actually repaired the wires. The price was substantially cheaper than the dealership and was open about what needed to be done and honest. If you have a newer car, this is a great place to go for repairs.

I rarely post reviews about a business, but I feel compelled to brag about this automotive shop. Mike at Alternative Automotive and his crew are the absolute best. I had electrical issues with a used Nissan. I had it in 3 different shops and spent almost 2000 dollars trying to get it repaired. The dealer ship wanted 4000k to repair it, and had the wrong diagnosis. Other shops told me to replace the ECM, sensors and wiring harnesses. Mike found the problem after one day- it turned out to be a short in a connector. The car runs great now!! I wish I would have known about this mechanic before I spend 2000 grand in the other 3 shops. Very knowledgeable and skilled mechanics, but also very honest.
