Good communication of work plan. I needed new brake calipers; they did job for reasonable price and road tested. They noticed low window fluid and filled it free.

We needed a star certified smog check and Alvarez meets those requirements. But because our engine light was on, the car had to be checked out first The owner, Gaspar ( it’s a family busy with his son and wife also working there)) was so gracious and direct in telling us his diagnosis. They fixed it, we passed smog test and we were treated like VIPs. I thoroughly recommend them .

Your relationship with your auto mechanic is built on trust, mutual respect, and high-quality customer service. Alvarez automotive broke all three with me recently so I will not be going back. I traveled 2 hours from out of town to have allegiance to this mechanic. I booked an appointment weeks in advance to be there at 8 AM and have the owner of the shop look at my car to fix a problem THEY created by doing an oil change and pump repair. When I showed up the owner not only wasn’t there as promised, his staff checked out the car with me and acted like nothing was wrong with it when I’ve driven the car for 10+ years and KNOW for certain something is wrong. It’s a v6 and has no pickup now. The staff had the audacity to tell me seems like normal car sounds and drives normal without ever look

Another place wanted to charge me way more to replace the catalytic converters, which I now know wouldn't even have solved the problem! Gaspar is not only a very capable mechanic, but also very pleasant; I sensed his integrity in every interaction.
