I give these guys an excellent rating/ review. They provide an excellent service, and at a very reasonable price. I took my Jeep Cherokee in for an issue with the check engine light that my husband couldn't sort at home for me even though he's a very skilled auto mechanic himself, because it needed a smoke pressure tester for the evap system. They were very thorough and fixed the issue, and charged me a very reasonable rate for it, considering how much time it must have taken them to figure the problem out (it wasn'tthe evap system). Matt, who runs the shop, worked on my Jeep, and gave my husband and me a very detailed explanation of everything he did to fix the problem. Made an appt Friday for Monday at 2pm get there call them and ask about my appt time cause I couldn’t remember if it was 2 or 2:30 and she asked me what car I had the day I made the appt as well as me asking about my appt time and hit me with we don’t do that car. Never contacted me to let me know. Waist of my time

I had a light appear on the dash of my car today. Looked like an airbag light or something. When I called a very unpleasant lady answered and when I asked if I could bring it in so they can tell me what the light is she said "ya that's about $125" no explanation on why it would be so much just to know what the light is. I just wanted the code so I could decide what I wanna do. She was very unpleasant to talk to. I think $125 is insane for something they can figure out in one minute. Just the code! Anyway don't go there but if you have to just know you will get overcharged and treated horribly

Worst car experience EVER. DENNIS YOUNG, THE OWNER & HIS OFFICE HELP ARE LIARS AND THIEVES!!!!. 1st week of September went in to have problem evaluated. Was told, by Raven, that i could pay for any and all charges with an out of state check, credit card or cash. After lie after lie on the cost, time, and, the final insult, the day the vehicle was ready, Dennis refused all forms of payment except cash. He basically used me to bank roll his payroll and tried to make me feel bad, like why didnt I have 899 dollars cash on hand, just for him. If your passing through and have car troubles, DO NOT STOP THERE, if you're a local and support that type of dishonest business, shame on you!!! AMADOR AUTOMOTIVE IS NOT BBB ACCREDITED!!!! STAY AWAY!!!!

By far, the worst customer service went and asked if they could do a smog had to talk to the mechanics in the shop because there was no one at the front desk. They told me to wait at the front desk. I waited for 10 to 15 minutes nobody ever showed up For a simple smog. I guess I’ll be taking my vehicle to El Dorado Hills where they actually want to make money it kind of explains why their shop is so empty.
