What can I say about Andrew Yates... Oh yeah, he's my hero! The entire crew at Andrew Yates Automotive is outstanding. On more than one occasion have they saved the day by fixing my car, which BTW, I don't trust just anyone with it. I highly recommend Andrew Yates Automotive!

Now I feel much more confident owning a Subaru, knowing that Andrew Yates Automotive specializes exclusively in Subaru repairs. Andrew is incredibly knowledgeable, down to earth, and easy to work with. Their rate is slightly lower than the dealership, and the quality of work is even better. If you own a Subaru and need anything beyond a basic oil change, this is the place to go. Once again, thank you to Andrew, Daniel, and the main technician (I can’t recall his name, but he’s the tall, young guy).

I can’t say enough good things about this shop. Andrew is extremely knowledgeable about Subarus and took the time to clearly explain what was going on with my car instead of just throwing parts at it. My Outback was having issues with starting up without stalling. He diagnosed the issue quickly, explained how clearing a code was affecting the car’s idle relearn, and also cleaned the throttle body due to some buildup. What really stood out was how informative and honest he was throughout the entire process. As a woman, I usually feel uneasy going to auto shops, but this was hands down the best experience I’ve ever had. This will absolutely be the only shop I go to moving forward.

Andrew’s legendary reputation in the Subie community is well earned. I took my 09 Outback 5MT to him to diagnose a weird clutch disengagement issue. We went for a test drive where he diagnosed the problem and talked me through his thought process. He has a knack for explaining things and is the Subie transmission guy for good reason. Really friendly (unlike an unnamed dealer in Alexandria which explained how a manual trans works incorrectly and in a very condescending manner). Andrew refused to charge me for the clutch master cylinder adjustment he made, but I insisted on buying some donuts since he spent nearly an hour with me. Andrew is a highly knowledgeable Subaru enthusiast with the customer in mind first. Took a car to him for a no cost diagnosis of my transmission and eventually had him rebuild it with brand new IAG carbon synchros and is now buttery smooth! I especially enjoy that he takes the time to have conversations with the customer and really shows his enthusiasm for Subarus. I’d have no hesitation to recommend him to anyone for work
