Avis Car Rental

Had a rental through the company I work for. Wouldn’t help me in any way. It was booked through a company and had all my information. Their platform has no way to accept a credit card through a corporate account and they wouldn’t take one over the phone wouldn’t let me pay with a debit card. But that’s cool. I will never rent from you and I’ll make efforts for our company to never rent from you again. I am highly dissatisfied and disappointed in your customer service. One star is too much .

Horrible customer service. Rented a vehicle 6 months in advance. There was a problem with the who was picking up the vehicle because my husband couldn’t make the trip. My husband sorted that out with Avis while I was in the air and was told I’d have an upgrade to a crossover from a Camry type sedan upon arrival. I have the email. Upon arrival at the desk, I was told they only had a minivan left. 2 people ahead of me, I had heard them tell a customer she was upgraded to a Mazda crossover. And this is what was on my email. Coincidence? I don’t know. I was upset and told the staff I did not wish to drive a minivan around for 12 days and this isn’t anything similar to what we reserved. The staff literally walked away from the desk and went to the other side of the glass. No communication. Noth

The local staff and management were helpful despite them not having the car I reserved. They were very accommodating by providing alternative upgrades for no charge. However, the national customer service is awful. Too long of a story to put in a review. If it wasn't for the staff at the airport, this would be a 1 star review for the company itself. Stick to Enterprise or National if you need a rental.

The entire rental process was very smooth. Especially the drop of process. Jamal at the albany international airport was extremely pleasant and provided clear instructions for an efficient drop off and prevented me from missing my flight. Very friendly and informative. Outstanding customer service.

We arrived at the Albany Airport on time, after heading down to the Avis desk inside the airport there was a massive line with around 50 people waiting on the desk. I was told that if I was a preferred member which I am, to head out to the preferred booth in the garage. When I got to the preferred booth, the line was just as long. The car was not ready for me and I could not request it from my app even after I made a reservation weeks prior. There was 1 person working behind the desk most of the time and I was told “sorry need to stand in line.”
