Avis Car Rental

Being that my daughter lives out of state I rent vehicles consistently, and I have to say out of all the places I have rented from none of them have provided the experience I've received at the Avis location on Boston St!! Thank you Mimi for your service!! You are not only professional, but your customer service and your character is overall beyond outstanding!! I prepaid for a rental with Avis because their website clearly stated that debit cards were accepted with only a $250 hold. When I arrived, Avis completely changed the rules. Instead of honoring what they advertised, they decided to run a credit check and then denied my rental altogether because I wasn’t using a major credit card. Not only was this embarrassing and inconvenient, but it was also financially harmful because Avis already took my money for a service they refused to provide. If debit cards aren’t truly accepted, Avis should be honest instead of misleading customers into paying upfront just to be denied at the counter. This experience was frustrating, deceptive, and extremely unprofessional. I will not be using Avis again and I would caution anyone else who plans to rent using a
