Avis Car Rental

I had a confirmed reservation for pick up 11/20 at 4:30pm at Avis. I arrived after a 45 minute uber ride to the Avis at the Beaumont TX Airport. Tyler the counter help refused to give me a car. He stated he was holding the cars he had for real customers for 11/21 & for me to call Hertz. I gave him my reservation number & showed him my Avis app with the reservation on it and my confirmation email. He said it looked faked and I must have been scammed. I am now stranded at the Beaumont airport with no where to go and no vehicle because all the car rental places are closed for the night. Tyler could care less & I am not even going to say what i think of this 💩. I called Avis & they said they’re in the Carribean and cannot call Avis locations. Avis has always been reliable and alway provided the car that I book for with no excuses! In addition, their cars are always almost brand new so you’ve got the confidence in getting to your destination timely and safely! Shout out to the Jack Brooks Regional Airport, BPT, Avis Team! Enjoyed my experience in the Chevy Premier Suburban SUV driving from South East Texas to LA! See you all soon!

I reserved a car online. Process was easy online and at time of pick-up. I cannot remember the blonde headed girl's name but she was as sweet as could be. She made the pickup process as easy as could be. Came to drop off the car the next day and it was just a simple drop of the keys and I was done. They do have an overnight drop box for in case you want to return later that night. Parking is also free at the Airport if you need to leave your personal vehicle. Very pleased with this rental facility. I will do business here again.

This place is the worst rental car company that I have ever had to deal with! They completely lied about reserving my car and getting the car and keys to the FBO at the airport! I got in at 2:30am like I told them, and there wasn’t a car waiting for me! Please do not use this lying company. Use Enterprise instead!! They had cars waiting for other drivers at the same location that Avis said they were leaving a car for me.

Caleb added Liability option without my approval (added about $450 in additional charges, had to escalate my refund request) and then used the wrong discount code so after rental is closed out that couldn't be corrected. FYI: You have to notice the wrong discount code & get it corrected before returning the vehicle, otherwise customer service won't help you. Great car for rental, but customer service needs to be more transparent, and company policies need more flexibility.
