Avis Car Rental

Definitely questionable business practices. Avis need to do a audit on this location. Im glad I keep my credit card lock. They close early, although the business hours are set. Then you have to fight with customer service to retrieve a refund. I like Avis but this location is questionable.

We had a great experience here. Staff was friendly stay away from East boca. Go to the WestBoca location. WestBoca is by far the friendliest and most cost-effective.

This Avis branch is engaging in highly questionable and potentially deceptive business practices. Despite advertising that they “accept credit cards,” the staff here arbitrarily refuse cards unless the magnetic strip happens to read on their clearly faulty terminal. I used the same card’s strip feature at a gas station the very same day without issue, and other cards worked without problem at other retail locations. To confirm, I even went to the Budget location just up the street, my card worked instantly there without issue. The problem is not the card. The problem is this location’s broken card reader, which is literally built into their battered, outdated keyboards. Avis was good.Now is terrible: I made a reservation 4 weeks before and when I arrived they did not have a car for me. Nobody cares. Try to call the Avis in Boca Raton, nobody answers the phone. Zero care. And Avis sent me many emails saying (all electronic) they are here for us, bla,bla...Terrible service. No empathy from the counter.

My wife got a rental here and she couldn't stop praising their customer service. The manager is such a cool guy
