WARNING! Do not book avis Columbus airport. Multiple issues I don't even know where to begin 1. You're greeted by an overflowing line - it took about an hour just to get to the counter (and this is in the preferred line....where you wait in the cold) 2. The line was made worse by many vehicles not being available and causing delays 3. The Tesla provided to me had multiple issues. Tire pressure was low, charge was less than 50%. The vehicle was out of battery in less than 60 miles. 4. They do NOT include any adapters in the car so you can ONLY charge at a Tesla station 5. Interior of the vehicle was dirty and steering wheel torn up 6. I was charged an additional mysterious fee of $250 on top of my $300. 7. I now need to get this useless piece of metal towed for an additional $300 if unable

My wife and I have been using this location for business travel and vacation travel for around a decade. I am convinced that our complaints are clearly the staff and management training problem. Vehicles reserved will NOT be ready or there. The vehicle will most likely NOT be clean and when you bring it to the staffs attention they will say, they know that and you won't be charged? Lazy is their moto! We've even reached out to the regional manager and have no reply. It's a shame that this location is so bad because we have tons of points and preferred status that makes using Avis / Budget enjoyable. I really hope this review reaches the ears of someone at the corporate office.

It’s 12am. 27°. There’s about 35 of us, all with reservations, waiting for cars. And they say they don’t have any. We’ve been here for over 90 minutes. UPDATE: Got a car at 1am, almost 3 hours later. There were at least 23 people behind me. The car they gave me stalled 1.5 miles down the road with a transmission issue. Good thing the roads were near empty that time of night. This location was and still is COMPLETELY unreachable by phone. The emergency road side offered to tow the vehicle in 45-60 minutes and take me back so I could go back and wait for another vehicle. No thanks. Instead, I limped on going like 35 on the freeway, restarting the car every mile or two to get it to drive. Worst rental experience of my life.

I rented a vehicle from the Avis location at the Columbus, Ohio airport two days ago, and it was easily the worst rental experience I’ve ever had. The car I was given was dirty, had rips in the seat, and even had dog hair in the back. But the bigger issue was that the vehicle did not work properly from day one. After driving only 21 miles total — from the airport to my home and back — the car completely failed. When I tried to leave again, the car would not start at all. I had my newborn baby in the back seat and my pregnant partner with me, and we had to unpack everything and switch cars just to get to several scheduled appointments on time. It was an extremely stressful and unsafe situation. I tried calling roadside assistance, and instead of helping, they told me they would charge me

Our experience with Avis was extremely disappointing. We called on Wednesday to make a reservation for Friday and specifically requested a Ford Mustang Mach-E. We clearly explained that we needed this vehicle because Tesla charging stations were not available where we were traveling. This was an emergency trip for a funeral, so reliability was critical. The customer service representative assured us multiple times that the Mach-E would be available and that it would include all necessary charging adapters. When we arrived on Friday, not only was the Mach-E unavailable, but we were given a Tesla instead and again told that all adapters needed to charge at non-Tesla stations were in the vehicle. They were not! We were left with an electric vehicle that we could not charge. Customer service
