Avis Car Rental

I had a terrible experience with Avis Rental. Not only did they overcharge me, but they continued to charge my card even after the rental was supposed to be finalized. They completely messed up my reservation and offered no real help or accountability. Every time I tried to fix the issue, I got the runaround. This company is unorganized, unprofessional, and clearly does not care about their customers. I will never rent from Avis again, and I strongly recommend going with another rental company if you want to avoid stress and unexpected charges.

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE! I gave them a second chance, and they failed again. They lost a good customer. I rented a minivan for a family trip through the Avis app. Since they had failed me before, by not having my vehicle available, I decided to call the store to confirm my reservation and availability. After numerous attempts, I was able to get through the manager Raul. He confirmed my reservation, and assured me my vehicle was ready to pick up at the reserved time. I told him about my previous bad experience, but he reassured me that my vehicle will be ready. When I arrived, Raul (same guy) told me that unfortunately my vehicle was not available and offered me a smaller one!! He got on the phone pretending to find me a vehicle, just like the last time. Rented with AVIS at this location twice. The first time was good. The second time, I reserved a van to pick up 9 members of my family from the port of Miami at 9:30am. Pick up was at 8:00am. I got a call at 8:00am saying the van was unavailable after having my reservation for over 3 weeks and receiving a confirmation email AND a reminder the night prior. I have read similar reviews with the same experience I had, which means that renting from here is hit or miss and you won't find out until the time of pick up causing you to figure out what you need to do at the last minute. Does no one check what reservations are made for the following day and try to solve any issues PRIOR? I never reviews, but I definitely had to so that I can possibly save someone else! Do yourself a favor and just find another company or don’t go to this location! For starters when I went there to get my car, the car was disgusting!!!!! The buttons had hair in it. The cupholders were nasty with black dirt and grime. It also had hair everywhere! I went back in and talked to the guy and he just sitting there with a nonchalant attitude playing on his phone saying well you have wait until someone else can clean it. I did went back inside. Told the guy, but I didn’t want the car and he assured me that he was gonna cancel it. I paid for a car in advance, only to arrive and be told the car didn’t exist. I spent $40 on an Uber to get to the location and ended up leaving with no car and no solution. Completely unacceptable. Wasted time, money, and zero accountability.
