Avis Car Rental

Our thanks to Sydney Jackson, who saved our trip. Apparently, I had forgotten to make a reservation. When we landed Durango it showed Avis out of cars. We booked with Hertz. Waited in line forever only to be told Hertz was out of cars. Went and stood in the Avis line and we were at the end of the line. Somehow, Sydney found a car for us and took care of everything. He was polite, kind, reassuring, truly a great problem solver, a GREAT hire! Thank you Avis for Sydney!

Sydney was extremely helpful and friendly to us and to the other customers we watched him assist. A true professional. Avis is lucky to have such a fine ambassador for their brand. This man needs a raise!

This location's manager gave me a car with almost all thread gone on tire. I later returned to get replacement and the manager said he does not have any car when there were half dozen parked outside late in the evening. And he said this thread is just fine. I later had a flat tire.

Sydney from Avis was awesome in helping us out of a mess that someone else from another rental company created. We had reserved a car with Hertz and when we got there, we were told that there was no car which was a huge problem for our plans that day that they didn’t seem to care about. Sydney was able to get a car for us even though we didn’t reserve with them originally and we got a car promptly and at a lesser cost than it would’ve been with Hertz. Sydney totally saved the day, shout out to him!

I booked a car on August 16th for pickup at Durango Airport on August 21st and return in Columbus. At the Avis counter, the agent took my license and credit card but kept insisting the card wasn’t accepted—even though my bank confirmed everything was fine. Just three counters away at Enterprise, the same card worked without issue. His attitude was unacceptable, and it felt like he was simply dismissive. Honestly, I’ve never dealt with such poor service. My advice: don’t rent from Avis save yourself the frustration and go elsewhere. I’m glad I came across your photo from another reviewer, by chance.
