Avis Car Rental

My most recent rental was a terrible experience. First, when I pointed out to the attendant that the gas tank was at 7/8, he insulted my intelligence by saying, “that’s actually full.” I know how to read a gas gauge, and I took a photo at pickup and again after refueling. Not only was I correct, but I returned the car with more gas than I received—about an eighth of a tank extra. Second, the car’s condition was awful. I’ve rented numerous times through Hertz President’s Circle, and this was by far the worst vehicle I’ve ever received at ELP. There was a yellow sticker still stuck to the front windshield, likely from a recent replacement, and leftover writing from an attendant on the passenger window. Sylvia at the counter in El Paso, Tx made the car rental experience absolutely horrible. Her attitude is uncalled for and she should not be in customer service. Her snotty response of "I'm just doing my job" is a pathetic excuse for an Avis representative who needs to be re-trained. I was traveling to El Paso for my 31 year old nephew's funeral who lost his 3 year long battle with cancer. People do not deserve her terrible attitude. I've had some really nice encounters from Avis; this was definitely a horrible experience!

The customer service I recieved from the manager at this location not just once but for 3 bookings now does not even deserve a 1 star. I have never been treated so rudly and so unprofessional at any rental location before. I brought it to the managers attention on my first reservation that the vehicle needed to be serviced as the check engine light came on as soon as we got on the freeway. I took the vehicle right back the manager not only refused to exchange it I had to call customer service to get the location to extend then the rate I was originally given , was not honored with the new vehicle That I had to go through a bunch of hoops, because the manager refused to help at that location.Luckily , customer service was able to get me squared away for the first situation. Was “greeted” by Rosario who was completely rude and unpleasant. Avis messed up my reservation 3 times and when she pulled up my rental she had an attitude about it and I explained to her that everytime I called Avis to make sure my rental was squared away they would say there was no reservation. Thus, 3 reservations were pending for me. The day of my flight I called to make sure there was a vehicle for me and the man who took my call said they had given my vehicle away. No follow up to let me know. So I show up and I had to deal with Rosario and her chip on her shoulder. She was rude to me. She was rude to my husband. When my husband asked for her name she lied and said Rose. Nice cover up Rosario. Terrible service! Use Costco if you just rent a vehicle.

Please be careful if you rent a car with Avis at the El Paso Airport. My husband went on a work trip and left his iPad in the car. He didn’t realize it until a little over a week later. He called the number online and got no where, as there is no direct line to the company at that location and the ‘lost & found’ extension was non-existent (even though there’s an option when you call) So he decided to physically go to the location himself. When he arrived, a worker mentioned that the car was there. Then a manager (Jesus) came out and my husband explained the situation. Jesus looked up the car himself and said the car was not there. But he was more than happy to ‘help’ my husband out by taking him to lost and found and to all the restrictive places my husband wasn’t technically wasn’t allo
