Great Location. No line when I went to pick up. Didnt have to go to one of the airports.. and it was less expensive. Tao the agent was knowledgeable and explained all the costs and advised to use my own Fastrak to save money.

We had a very disappointing and stressful experience with Avis at the Fremont location. the car had serious performance issues during our trip from Fremont to Las Vegas. The car was jerking while driving, the RPM stayed between 4,000–5,000 even on downhill roads, and the engine noise was extremely loud. The fuel consumption was abnormally high — we had to refuel 4–5 times on a single trip. Most concerning was the safety aspect. While driving through remote desert areas, the vehicle felt unstable and unreliable. A hybrid vehicle should not behave this way on highways. It caused significant stress and extended our travel time from 8 hours to nearly 11 hours. AVIS WARNING: We booked a car at a local Avis in Fremont (94555) for my elderly parents (75 and 90!!) and when they went to pick it up, they arrived to an empty lot with the office blinds drawn and seemed closed. Finally a guy came out to let them know they had no cars. Ok, I get that, sometimes it happens when someone doesn't return a car, BUT this guy shrugged his shoulders and said "don't bother coming back here, we never have cars...they never give us any!" and when they asked for a solution or alternative - he just said, "I've got none, go to the airport!" and just walked away - leaving them in the lot - and locked the door. Telling a 90 year old to go 30+ miles away to get a car?! When I called customer service, I was told they have no choice but to go to an airport and pay the highe

Overcharged for fuel after returning. I had filled up fuel tank from a fuel station quarter mile away from this while returning. I had to call customer care twice to get this reversed. Many people won’t look at the final receipt and not realize the excess charge. This is evil practice. Funny thing is this happened to me twice in past month from 2 different Avis rentals. Looks like a pattern.
