WORST CAR RENTAL I HAVE EVER BEEN TO!! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! The pick up went smooth, but the return was hell on earth. An older man was working, i wish i got his name (East African, wears glasses) and he left the store unattended for 20 minutes when we were trying to return the car. We were in the store all by ourselves, literally 0 customer service, just to see the worker take his time walking out of Giant. When we confronted him about it, he instantly got defensive & decided to argue with us instead of apologizing to do his job. He then threatened to charge my father’s card extra before i went back into the store to confront him, in which he denied everything of course due to the store being filled with cameras and where i requested a copy of the receipt to prevent future troubles. On Thursday, I was scheduled to return my rental vehicle and knowing my last meeting was running late I proactively reached out to the location (10 times) I finally gave up and spoke with a intl customer service rep Informed me she could not send them a message and she could not tell me what the late fee would be. When I arrived approximately an hour and 51 minutes late the manager, Gabe, informed me that despite my punctual return, he would charge a late fee and an extra day rental fee. This office is shared by both AVIS and Budget rental car company and same agents helping you. Online AVIS was a bit less expensive if you pre-pay vs pay onsite then it’s the same price as Budget. I did reserve a compact car but received the smaller economy car. They were the same price and had plenty on the lot but I didn’t fuss and took the car. It was clean, full tank and ready to go. No charge for mileage just return the tank at the same level you left and no damage, you’re good! Rates start about $75/day and are the new midrange price. They mistakenly (I hope) put a fuel reading of 3/8 when I returned the car with a full tank. Charged me $42 extra and I only realized it days later while doing my budget. I wouldn't trust this avis branch.

I recently rented a full-size car from Avis Car Rental, expecting a smooth and comfortable driving experience for my family trip. However, what I received was a complete disappointment. Avis gave me an old car that was incredibly noisy and unpleasant to drive, and it was in such poor condition that it felt unsafe.
