Avis Car Rental

This experience was so bad that I’m writing the review over a year later because I recently had a flashback to it. I am a type of person to rarely leave reviews and just move on from bad experiences. This is an exception cause no exaggeration, never in my life have I had such a shockingly rude customer service experience. This took place around November 2024. I had prepaid and reserved a car multiple days in advance. I showed up to the location to pick up the car and I was instantly told: “We don’t have any cars.” I explained that it was an Avis Preferred reservation made and prepaid for days in advance. They didn’t care. They gave that canned default response of “Yeah Corporate overbooks a lot but you have to call them to get a refund.” I never received a call about a car not being ava

Do not go to these people. They make up their own rules even though you sign a contract. They DO NOT tell you everything you need to know upfront and you have to call 3 different places including them several times for multiple days and still get no answer. If you want to switch days you pay for uber and agree to pay the fee, they will “forget” to do it and charge you a bigger fee for late payment. I don’t like hertz either but they’re way better than Avis.

OMG. I don’t review much, but this is unbelievable. They should have four stars or higher for a great store with better support. @Nilah, fantastic customer service and knowledgeable as well. She ended up putting me in a hybrid, which I’ve never experienced before, and I tell you, with the weather last week in Atlanta, I don’t know if I would’ve made it. Top-notch support; I highly recommend this location specifically.

I recently made a reservation online for a large SUV, when I arrived at my scheduled pickup time I was informed that they did not have the vehicle I requested. They stated that they tried to call me but I did not answer, they made no attempt to text or email. While they weren't rude about they also were not generally apologetic and kind of made it seem like it was my fault for not answering the phone. Additionally made no attempt to rectify the situation or check inventory at near by locations. They said that if I were able to find a similar vehicle at a nearby location I could transfer the rental. I called the Avis customer service line and was able to verify that here was a location a a couple of miles down the road with the vehicle I needed. When I arrived there I was informed that this

Horrible customer service staff has the worst attitude!! I book for a Camry or similar and they purposefully waited until after signing the contract and paying to bring out a giant Volkswagen. When I asked why I wasn't getting the size car I requested the response was "I'm not voiding the contract" !! I had to complain and was told to call another Avis to see if they would let me swap. These ppl didn't even want to rectify their mistake!! I'm now having to drive to another Avis to swap cars so even more inconvenience for me. On top of all that the car he gave me has the tire pressure light and maintenance signs on the dash lol. HORRIBLE LOCATION DONT COME HERE
