Avis Car Rental

12/10 service. The car rental world needs more Terry's. Made my reservation on the app, then called the McCook office to see if they could bring the rental car to the local airport for when I arrived. Terry met me there when my flight landed and had the car ready to go. When I was done, I just left it at the airport when I arrived for the flight and they came and picked it up. Affordable and stress free rental experience for being a location in the middle of no where.

They leave a car for me at the Amtrak station, and I leave it there when I leave. They aren’t the newest cars but they’re reliable and inexpensive. One phone call and it’s all set up. I can’t express how rare this is in a town the size of McCook.

3 days ago we book a vehicle to get to something very important they told us come pick vehicle up day of I wake up day of getting everything ready only to get phone call telling me sorry we don't have your vehicle you asked for 10 customer service was really disrespectful throughout the conversation,some business ethics right there. They had our rental waiting at the local municipal airport when we landed (plus, two stars). That is where the pluses ended. We reserved our rental thru Friday and had a work emergency last minute that extended our stay and was going to require transportation to Lincoln/Omaha. They refused to honor the Avis return/drop policy for a different location because it “put them in a bad spot”. Then they suddenly and immediately needed us to return our rental because they had no other rentals and someone else needed the one we had that same day. We ended up getting our company involved and they agreed to swap vehicles (even though we were originally told they didn’t have anymore). Due to a rental car breakdown while in central Nebraska, Terry became my knight in shining armor! In no way could I get through to a person via the Avis phone numbers available, I ended up dealing with the McCook, Ne, Avis. After speaking with Terry, and him actually being on a three way call with Avis (National), he was able to get a truck headed to me from two hours away, with a new rental on it, and to pick up the broken vehicle. Originally, while Terry was trying to take care of things, he called back as he stated he would and never left me in the dark. I’ve never been so thankful for Midwest hospitality! Thank you McCook Avis and Terry - you guys are the best!
