I had a pleasant experience renting a car from Avis Car Rental in Middletown. The staff especially Steven was friendly and helpful, and the rental process was smooth and efficient from start to finish. The vehicle was clean and ready to go, and drop‑off was quick and convenient. I appreciated the overall service and would recommend this location to anyone in need of a reliable rental car while visiting the area.

I've rented cars here quite a few times. I have always been very pleased. The cars are all in very good condition, maintained well and always clean & comfortable. The prices are very good. And the staff is exemplary. I've always been impressed by their attention to duty, kindness, courtesy and professionalism. I have recommended this location to everyone I know. Let’s start from the beginning Alan and Angeline are nothing but scam artist … we booked a 7 passenger car (minivan) 3 months prior to our trip . THREE MONTHS . We called a few times in those three months to confirm if a minivan would be there then we called a week prior and day prior always being told that yes our reservation is all set and we can pick up at 12 pm on our pick up day . Angeline as Alan told us is the owner of the Avis in the galleria mall which is who we spoke to the Thursday before our vacation . Come friday at 10 am 2 hours before we are to pick up Alan calls us to let us know that they do not in fact have a 7 passenger car …. Yup have our car to someone else or just lied about having it … so he then proceeds to tell us to call other Avis/ budgets to see who has a 7 pas

What is the point of allowing people to reserve if you’re not going to have the vehicle reserved on pickup? It defeats the entire purpose. This literally ruined our whole vacation plans because Avis allows you to reserve a vehicle that they won’t have on the date of your pickup. Again this is just a predatory practice to get you to rent from them and they’ll just charge you the reserved rate but will give you only a vehicle they have onsite. Even if you reserved a 7 seater. No accomodations or alternatives were provided by staff. Even though it is their mistake for not having the reserved vehicle.

Located in the Galleria Mall so the hours are odd. No key drop-off option, so it forced me to return the car a day later. I called to let the agent know that I would be about 10 mins late from them closing which is a different time than the mall closure. I was told that they couldn't accommodate, and the only option was for me to pay for an additional day. The customer service was really bad, and I would never rent a car from this location.
