Avis Car Rental

Pick up was decent. The rep named LD seemed to be rushing but she was friendly. Before leaving I noticed the vehicle was dirty. I went back inside to let her know and ancknowledged it by initialing my receipt. 10 minutes after leaving Avis, a “maintenance required” message displayed on the dashboard. The vehicle needed an oil change. I didn’t think to take a picture of that. I rented the vehicle for a week. Before returning, I took it upon myself to vacuum the vehicle before returning due to additional crumbs accumulated from when I initially picked it up. During drop off, there was a guy rep that I explained what was what during pick up to make him aware. This man I believe his name was Darry, tells me “I find that hard to believe”. Darry did an excellent job taking care of me and my rental needs. The people ahead of me had just been in an accident and he did a great job taking care of them too. Avis has a great employee there who goes above and beyond the call of duty to take care of customers and provide personalized service. Just an FYI - the reservation systems can send out same day reservations that may not work out if a car return has not happened on time. Call ahead and check with Darry to make sure all is good. On September 10, 2025, I returned a rental car that I had rented at the airport rental counter (Ms Tee Booker was vey attentive to my needs and helped me with my rental at the airport) to the Midlothian Turnpike location (13323 Midlothian Turnpike). LEGEND was Awesome in assisting me immediately with the return and did not tell me that I had to return the rental car at the airport. Once I informed him about the difficulty that I was experiencing with calling the number I was given for the airport and receiving a message that the number I was calling was disconnected, he accepted my rental return with NO PROBLEM. if you can, when you are in the Richmond, VA area, and need to rent a vehicle, go to the above location and rent from Legend. They cancelled my reservation that I had for 6 weeks because it was for a one way rental. They didn’t call, didn’t text, didn’t email. I found out when I went to the counter right before having to leave on a business trip. Had to rebook a car and rebook a flight at my expense because they can’t honor a reservation or bother to make a call.

Ordered a luxury car and got an SUV, not even top of the line and i didnt get a notification to cancel or change it.
