Avis Car Rental

Why are you allowing to book a car at the 7:30am slot when the cars are only available at 8am…? When I book something I expect it to be ready on time. I had to uber to Avis and then to work and come back later to pickup the car, not very convenient… Please remove the possibility to book at 7:30 if you can’t give the car at that time.

Hicham was so friendly and efficient with my picking up a vehicle this week. The rental was also in great condition, gas tank filled and clean. Finding the location was easy. Definitely recommend this retail location over the airport.

lol any review above 1 here has to be fake or so out of date that it isn’t relevant anymore. At any expense please do yourself a favor and avoid visiting this avis location. I rented a car from the airport, which had engine troubles after a night of driving, and I did not want to revisit the airport over the holiday unless needed. I used Avis’ AI agent which told me I could go to any location and get it resolved. Unfortunately, this location did not have cars available when I visited. Which is okay- things happen and it’s not the staffs fault. I wasn’t upset by that. What upset me was I also wanted to add a friend to the rental so that she could drive. As a longtime customer of Avis, I’ve come to expect a high standard of customer service. In the past, the customer service team has always been responsive, professional, and helpful. Unfortunately, my recent experience fell far short of that standard. I encountered rude and condescending agents who seemed to lack a basic understanding of their roles. I had to make three calls to prevent an issue that would have negatively impacted my rental agreement, but I received little support. Ultimately, the situation escalated, and it wasn’t resolved until my second post rental follow-up call—only after I insisted on speaking with a supervisor. Sean the location manager has absolutely NO BUSINESS being a manager. He is ignorant of how to bring success to a service industry company. I encourage Avis to send in mock renters particularly of the colored ethnic background to get honest non biased feedback. It is possible that he was just having a bad day however in my opinion. It takes years to build a great reputation of customer service and one a bad presentation by a zealous manager who oblivious doesn’t understand what the “Customer Service’ means can ruin it in a matter of minutes.
