Avis Car Rental

Almost a week later I still haven’t got my money back. I was double charged. I was put in a small rental when I pre-paid for full. i also spent an hour with customer service over the phone cause the manager won’t call you to resolve it. I’m sure he can fix it but the agent told he can’t. I also told them I prepaid for the rental when they charged me at pick up and i was told it’ll fall off when I return car. She also told me if I dispute it with my bank they won’t rent to me anymore. Okay, I guess I won’t rent at this location. Too inconvenience for me.

Dishonest and poor customer service. We returned a car to this location, Angela the attendant says the fuel tank is not full and says if I give her an extra $2 cash she will mark it as full. I just had fueled it and fuel gauge was super slow to adjust, but was reading full when got out of the car. I tell her this and she insists it's not full and insinuates that many people, myself included have a hard time topping off this model of car. She then says if I don't give her the $2 cash she will mark it on the receipt as 7/8 of a tank and I will have to deal with corporate. We argued a little longer, I told her I will not give her $2 and if she marks the receipt as 7/8 of a tank I would call corporate. She marked it as 7/8 of a tank, so I call their corporate office and was told to absolutel

Just the nicest people in the world! So easy to deal with, unlike other places I have been. Highly recommend them!! Just an update. I had a tire blow out on the highway. Went in the morning to see what could be done. Fernando had me in and out with a new car in less than 10 minutes. Best rental car place I have ever used!

I have tried both locations in Modesto now. Both need to do way better. I was enticed with a deal to rent again, so I tried. Had an 8 day rental for a great price, took one hour to check out the car. I turned the car in and notice a charge for $50. I tried calling, they just won’t answer the phone at all. Enterprise is your best bet for customer service and you won’t be charged with unknown amounts.

The owner/independent Operator - Fernando Duarte operates with a - I “don’t care” mentality. Tried calling the Avis dealership number and no one answers the phone, and when I get there in person, he tells me there is no car and that he can’t do anything about it. My worst experience ever. Owned by an independent contractor who has absolutely no professionalism.
