Avis Car Rental

This AVIS location is completely Racist!! Do not do business with them at all! Prepaid for a rental months ago. Arrived the location and their lot is extremely small.. i forgo their insurance coverage , they require me to show show my proof of insurance . Looking for ways to disqualify me.. They require a "soft" credit check on top of a $250 deposit. I agreed, i have a 690 credit, and somehow I am failed and nothing can be done with reservation on Thanksgiving day?? Now i have to apply for a refund to recieve my money in 3- 10 business days .. This place is horrible avoid at all cost.

No cars available. Why would you let me book a car on the website if you don't have that car at the location? I pre booked a toyota crown online and when I got there they didn't have any cars besides one jeep compass. Car came dirty, they didn't bother to clean it after the last use. The car remote battery ran out after one day so i went back to ask for a replacement and they said they don't have any batteries and i would have to buy my own. Last time i will ever use avis

My company gives Avis a lot of business. We have a direct bill corporate account and we have employees who travel all over the world. We recently rented a car from this location and it was received dirty. The arm rest in the back was also broken. After two weeks of having the car we finally returned it and wanted to downsize to a smaller SUV. The person at the counter slapped us with $250 cleaning fee and said he was charging us for the broken arm rest. This is the second time we rented a car from this location and the first time was no better, the car was received dirty, but we gave them the benefit of the doubt. I recently had an extremely frustrating experience with Avis that I feel potential renters should be aware of. I initially booked a rental car for one day at $27 a day. The following morning, I called to extend my rental for four additional days, making it a total of five days. At that time, I was told I would remain locked in at the same $27 a day rate. However, after returning the car, I checked my bank account and discovered I had been charged over $900. When I called Avis to dispute this, I was told it was due to a “miscommunication” and that rental rates were “subject to change,” even though I was clearly assured otherwise at the time of the extension. I had issues with my rental from this Avis location. The car was given with less than a full tank and low tire pressure, even though the contract showed full. I was told the fuel discrepancy would be taken care of, but I was still charged an extra fee. Avis customer service didn’t resolve it, but Costco Travel stepped in and got the refund issued. Glad it was resolved, but renters should double-check the car before leaving.
