Avis Car Rental

Only five stars, because I can't give more. I've always wanted to rent a Tesla. I made a reservation on Priceline, but the webpage said, "Tesla, or similar." I didn't want an "or similar", so I came into this location, which is right around the corner from where I live. They've treated me very well in the past. I met Rehan, and explained the situation. He said he wasn't sure if he was going to be able to get me a Tesla, because it was a long weekend. (MLK day...) However, he did say, he would make some phone calls, and see what he could do for me. I called him back in a few hours. Not only was he able to get me a Tesla model 3, he made arrangements that I could pick it up here instead of going out to the airport, and for the exact same price that I was quoted online. Somewhat affordable car rental. The one plus about this place is that they very easily let me extend my rental multiple times and gave me some options of how to save on extra fees. So I left my debit card on the counter, at closing, and the front desk person possibly lied and said they called me to let me know, but the call didn't go through. They just wanted to clock out at 3pm. Clocking out at closing hours is understandable, but don't tell me you called when you didn't try to. Left my MOUS magnetic phone holder in the Toyota Corolla and they said they can't find it anywhere...they also said "oh it might have been thrown away by the manager or stolen" ....that phone holder doesn't look like trash enough to be thrown away by the manager and also doesn't look quite valuable enough for so

I've rented cars for decades and used to always get them from Avis on Sunrise, but after a series of awful experiences, I came to this one on Zinfandel and was ASTOUNDED by the amazing customer service from Rehan (originally his Aunt until he took over). I will never rent anywhere else when I am in town. Rehan is the epitome of what I expect when I rent a car. Quick and professional service, a clean and good running vehicle and a smooth return at the end. Note: the way Avis treats small locations like this is a shame. This is the Sacramento valley where summers average in the mid 90s with dozens of 100+ days. This place has been without working air conditioning for YEARS because corporate won't spring to fix it. I received a call from this location just one hour before my scheduled pickup informing me there was no car available and that I needed to contact customer service. When I called, I was told my reservation had been cancelled without my knowledge or consent by the pickup location. Now I’m forced to make a new booking within an hour at a much higher price. While I understand inventory shortages happen, cancelling at the last minute without notice is unacceptable and extremely frustrating

This review is long overdue. Rehan at Rancho Cordova Avis provides excellent care. Clearly going above and beyond for customers renting vehicles here. I rented an EV the other day and was having issues with charging the car and Rehan went above and beyond to help me situate the issues I was experiencing.
