Avis Car Rental

Aruksan was cheerful and attentive and very precise giving instructions for getting to the car in the Hilton garage and also checking out of the hotel parking gate. The car (a Jeep mid-sized SUV) hadn’t been washed externally, but we didn’t care as the inside was clean. We had to adjust the tire pressures some, but that was easy to do with the built-in tire-pressure displays. The ride was quiet and smooth, and phone link-up easy. Great highway mileage! Thank you Aruksan!

Worse service ever! They didn’t have the SUV that was reserved and did a downgrade to a small car. I asked for a discount and they said that the bill went down $300. The only reason the bill went down is because we got a small car not because we received a discount for the inconvenience

Obviously, they didn't touch this vehicle before sending me out with it. It's was also low on wiper fluid. You can see in the one photo that it's facing the wrong way down a one-way inside the garage under the hotel. I went that way anyways and it dead ends into a work area. I really struggled to get out. One Hilton employee squeaked out: please leave as she barreled by me in her equipment. Well, gosh lady. Give me a way out!!! If I'm charged for a dent in this vehicle for this uninspected vehicle, they will definitely find that I'm a serious problem. You need to look at these vehicles. It's really important. And you need to park them so people can leave. If you see me in your rental struggling to leave, why not wave me down to help me out? There were three workers down there that abandone

Disappointed. I've been renting cars from here for 10+ years a couple of times a year for vacations, always picking up the car between 4-5pm on a Mon-Fri - today I tried to pick up my 4pm car reservation at 4:02 and they were closed, with no way to get the car - evidently they have changed hours recently as the new stickers on the door showed... just wish AVIS wouldn't have let me set the pick up time at 4pm when that was the closing time. I called AVIS support, got the usual guy with a thick Indian accent I could barely understand who told me there was nothing that could be done and that I should have been there by 4pm - since when is the reservation time the LAST time you can pick up the car? Usually that's the earliest you can get the car... A frustrating experience.

Love the prices and online booking process but they can improve pick up management esp. for mornings. Our pick up was scheduled at 10:00am and we arrive around 9:40am. The line was so long and they had only one person on one booth. There were about 10 counter sections available out of which only one was active!! No other car rental on airport had same issue!! Not sure about anywhere else but here at SLC pick up can really use some more people based on bookings done in their system.
