Avis Car Rental

Beware of Avis, worst rental car experience I have ever had. Car had hail damage on hood and trunk, dents / scrapes in many places, and car was out of alignment It was the only one they had so I had no choice but to take it. I returned the tank full of gas (see photo), but just saw I was charged $23 ($9.99 / gallon) for gas they could not have put in because it was completely full. Very unethical company!! 04/14/2025 Changed rating from a 1 star to a 3 star. The actual person I worked with behind the counter called me and explained the computer adds gas automatically if the car is driven under 100 miles. He reimbursed me $23 and apologized for the inconvenience. I gave them 2 more stars for good customer service, but the car itself was in need of a lot of work.

The worst place to pick up the car. I rented the car from this company many times before and never had any problems, but this time the person behind the counter lied right to my eyes that my account is on hold for collection and he refused to give me a car that I payed already online. I asked why I never was contacted or riches through my account that I have hold, he said that only he can see it from his end and the online account is only for booking. I asked can he give me a date of when the hold was made and the reason, he said he can’t see it and I need to call company. When I called company”s customer service they told me that there is no hold or any problem with my account. So far this has been a good experience. My flights were delayed and gate changed prompted me to call and ensure my car rental was ready upon landing. Got a couple of days left in town but hopefully the remainder of the service goes smooth upon returning the vehicle.

The experience I felt very good to pick up the vehicle at this location the front desk guy gives the nice vehicles by doing inspection everything.

Such a bad day, Terrible Experience with front Desk guy at Avis Car Rental on October 2nd I had an extremely disappointing experience with him , and I will not be using their service again. From start to finish, the process was frustrating and riddled with poor customer service. First, when I arrived to pick up the car, the vehicle I reserved weeks in advance was unavailable. Instead of offering a similar or upgraded option, I was forced to wait over an hour while they found a replacement, which was not even remotely similar to what I booked. And he was charging money for the upgradation , I didn’t see this type rude behaviour at any Avis , only in Springfield I would recommend to fire the guy who shows up with nasty behaviour
