Avis Car Rental

Came here this morning to rent a car, the first car was given smelled strongly like smoke, and the next vehicle option was very dirty on the inside and out, (photos attached) and there is a steering alignment issue. I called up and was told that I can come back and exchange it but when I came for the exchange was only offered a much smaller worse car. This rental location used to be good but it is now horrible.

I travel a lot for work and use Avis all over the country. This is by far the best Avis location I’ve ever been to. The staff are always professional and immediately responsive. The cars that I have rented are always clean and the processing takes no time. It is a no-brainer to rent from this Avis in Toms River if you’re in the area!

I have rented an SUV now on two different occasions from this location and could not be happier. The SUV’s were always well maintained and up to date. The customer service is always excellent and I plan to use them again in the future.

The teenager behind the desk refused to clean the snow off the car and instead gave me another one only partially covered with snow. He refused to walk around the car with me and when I got home 10 minutes later and discovered a chip in the window he said he walked around the car with me and it’s my fault. Don’t trust these people, they are shady at best, lazy if I’m being kind, but criminals at worst. They won’t do right by you and you’re best going somewhere else.

My experience with this car rental shop was fabulous. The staff was excellent they explained everything in detail I was in and out of there in a few minutes. Upon dropping the car off the young man helped me and he was Pleasant. I thought he would lecturing me because the car got a little dusty but he explained to me that each car was clean and sanitized between rentals . The car ran perfectly I had absolutely no problems and I will be renting every time I come back to Toms River New Jersey. I feel bad I did not catch neither of their names but if I had a business that's who I'd want running it.
