Derrick and the guys are great! They explain things well and let you know ahead of time what the cost of repair will be. I’ve been taking my cars there for years. As for honesty? They saved me 2k when I’d taken my car to a dealer for repair and the dealer said it would cost 2k. I took it to Barry Luff auto for a second opinion and it was a recall. I took the car to a different Nissan dealer and didn’t spend a dime. All because of Barry Luff Auto.

Unfortunately, my experience at Barry Luff Auto Repair was less positive compare to the reviews I've seen from others. My usual shop had no available slots for state inspections on two of my vehicles, so I tried Barry Luff's for the first time. I booked an appointment online easily. My truck needed new brakes and an axle replacement to pass inspection. The work was completed in one day and cost $1,100. I then brought in my older Mini Cooper for inspection. It required all four brakes and rotors replaced, plus one new tire to pass. I approved the repairs, which came to $1,300. The next day, the rear wheel caliper on the Mini Cooper seized while driving, causing smoke and a strong burning smell. I returned to the shop right away. I trust them when they say something needs repair. They give me a list of things that are probably going to need to be looked at next time. So easy to deal with and always friendly. Fair pricing. I have a 2009 dodge truck and it does need a professional eye to keep it in shape.

We’ve used this shop twice this year, and both times we were lied to about pricing and then overcharged. We call to confirm the price of a service, even confirm it dropping off the car, but then are charged much higher at pickup and are basically told “too bad, this is what we’re charging you”. There’s no communication in-shop and they say that one guy quotes a price but he's not here and they wont do anything to even check on it. I would understand a few minor differences in cost once the work is actually done, but we're charged almost double what we were told!! If you find a problem that needs to be fixed, you don't just do it without telling the client!
