It took me three years to find a good and trustworthy auto mechanic in San Rafael but Ben has never been anything less than fair and honest with me. Totally solid dude and a good mechanic. The shop is tiny and it can be easy to miss, and parking can be a bit tricky, but Mike's Sourdough deli is a short walk away and an excellent place to kill time while you wait.

I’ve been going to Bellam Auto Repair for years and each time I’ve appreciated the service they provided me. Last month, my oil pan cover was dragging and was close to falling off. I pulled into Bellam Auto Repair and they stopped what they were doing to quickly fix my issue and sent me on my way. Recently, my radiator, which I had installed by Bellam Auto Repair, had started to leak causing my car to overheat and heater/AC to fail— they reminded me of my warranty and fixed it asap!
