Bighead Mechanic

Where do I start with this guy. Cost me thousands of dollars on my car. I knew the day i picked up my car the clutch was not installed properly. Upon picking up the entire car was ratteling. I said something about 15 million damn times and he swore up and down it was flawless. The very next day I went under the car and half of my exhaust bolts were missing. Another shop diagnosed and fixed these issues after my gear box went and It was determined from the new shop the clutch was the reason. Filled BBB against said company and he refused to respond. End of the day the videos and the other garage dont lie. Absolutely terrible

Mike is an honest and fair mechanic. I have known him for years and trust him with all of my cars. He has always done a great job at a fair price. He has told me exactly what is wrong and whether it is cost effective to repair it. Mike will never steer you wrong!

On July 29th I had took my car to bighead mechanic where the owner had told me I needed new breaks. I got my breaks done and a week later they started SQUEALING. I had called the shop back and asked if this was normal, they had told me no so I rushed the car back to the shop. Upon his inspection he had told me nothing was wrong with my car. When I arrived my back driver side tire was off. He never replaced my back breaks, only my fronts. So why was my back tire off to begin with? He then told me everything was fine and that it was so safe he’d put his own child in my vehicle. I took what he said with a grain of salt and took my car to another mechanic on Somers point road where another inspection was done. This guy is amazing! He was so nice, helpful , and funny! And even fixed extra on my car and still charged the same price because he was thinking of my pregnancy and my well being and safety! You don’t find many people like that anymore and my car is running amazing now and thank GOD I could find someone so amazing with affordable prices these days !! Also just a little plus his dog is so cute!

Can you find an honest mechanic? Absolutely! I have been using Mike for years and always have had great results. My son just came back from the upper Peninsula of Michigan and needed, among other things, an inner axle boot done. Mike explained what the options were on how to repair it and suggested the best course of action. He of course what spot on. The 4Runner has been driven 2500 in the 2 weeks since and performs like a dream, due to Mike's excellent maintenance. Honest, reliable and competitively priced.
