At the time of this situation, my wife and I are full time RVers staying in Fairplay SC. We went to leave the campground and found we had a flat front tire. I called our roadside assistance company, and they sent out Chris from Boyds Automotive & Towing in Toccoa with 2 tires. We had agreed to a pay a fairly high price since we were in a pinch...had a hard-to-get service appointment 100 miles away the next morning. When he arrived, I noticed the date code on the tires we bought were 0121...almost 5 years old! I guess I could have refused the tires but would have been stuck there and missed my appointment. Chris installed the tires in a timely manner. I was told I would have to pay a credit card fee, but assumed it would be 3% like most businesses, but not the 5% I was charged! Overall it w

When my car was brought here by a tow truck, I was told there would be a $75 fee, but this amount was not charged at that time. Later, they claimed that a “mechanical inspection” was performed, yet no details or results were ever provided. I was also told that my car could stay there until the weekend and that I would not be charged for it. However, when I said I wanted to sell the car over the weekend, they suddenly asked for an additional $200 for things that were never mentioned before, bringing the total to $400. They try to charge for services that were never clearly explained or approved. This feels like a complete money trap. I definitely do not recommend this place. If you value your money and time, stay away.

You are an asset to this company.And I hope that they realize this. You were here within fifteen minutes of me, placing the toe service through my insurance. Came and got my truck that day and had substantial repairs completed in less than a week. Keeps me informed and very reasonable price. Highly recommend.
