The first time I took it in they said the head gasket was blown and it wasn't. The second time it was blown but they still went ahead and did an oil change a air filter swap and change the small gasket to help an oil leak. Mind you the car is 25 years old and not worth the $10,000 it's going to take to get a new engine now that the head gaskets blown. So when I asked why charge me for these repairs that didn't need to be done instead of reassessing and getting my approval going forward once I catastrophic failure had happened in the motor, he said I'll call you back and then came back with a random discount price "oh I can't do anything about the price but I'm going out of my way for you." Took my 2004 VW Jetta back to my favorite auto shop, Briarwood in Tulsa,OK for an oil change and weather specific checks, but also for a terrible grinding noise I had noticed especially in rainy weather. They diagnosed wheel bearings in need of replacement. They got the repair done on day #2 and I know they have done a good job. I will be returning next month for new front brakes. I appreciate the transparency with estimates and pictures before my approval for the needed repairs. I feel they can be trusted to complete auto repairs in an honest and dependable manner.
