Brook Oaks Senior Residences

I know a few residents who live here. I have been less than impressed. The elevator has been out, leaving handicapped folks upstairs without an easily accessible way down. They have been without a manager, but now have one, so I’m hopeful things will improve. I have called National Church Residences main number to speak with them regarding bed bugs, numerous smoke detectors beeping from insufficient batteries as well as another facility they run on Stewart Dr. having numerous residents without heat during the recent, several day freeze that we’ve had. I have yet to receive a return call as requested. National Church Residences, please look at getting this elder population what they need.

My mother lives in this place and at first they were really nice. However, now it is a different story. The floors are dirty. There are spots on the floor that I have seen for the last year still sitting there that looks like something was spilt and no one has cleaned it. They use to vacuum the hallways and now they do not do any kind of housekeeping. They have no management on site. There is no one there but a handyman that is unable to do things because he hurt himself. There is no backup person to step in if he cannot do the job. My mother has a smoke detector that has been sitting on her dresser for almost three months. She has light bulbs that have not been replaced. There is no on-site activity coordinator.
