Brookdale Memorial City

This is for independent living. If your love one need round the clock care, this facility does not provide it. My brother, after moving in was diagnosed with terminal cancer. They do have hospice, but every time we need hospice to come, it takes 1 hour for them to show up. He fell several times. So we decided to move him to a 24/7 facility for his safety. Brookdale won't wave the fee of 2 months penalty to break the contract. The staff is very nice. Josephine with home health is a gem. When she comes to care for my brother, she is super sweet, caring, gentle, patient. Nancy, the head of home health is very accommodating, but the service is expensive and not instant like a 24/7 facility.

I rate this beautiful community as a Star five. The Brookdale Memorial City team cultivates a independent living like none other. I recommend this community to my friends, and love ones that are seeking a friendly, caring, loving environment. Every time I visit the community the energy there is so inviting. Look no farther this is home!

I thoroughly enjoyed living here at Brookdale memorial city. They have plenty of enjoyable things to do here every day of the week. You just have to choose what you enjoy and go and enjoy it and it is your choice to go in and enjoy it. It is up to you to figure out what it is that you like to do they have many many things to choose from. You just have to look at the board and figure it out and then go do it and you will enjoy it. A Place for Mom Did I find you or did you find me. I’m 79 and of course I can’t believe where all the time has gone. I am writing to express my appreciation and to share my story. Starting last spring, I contracted a virus that hospitalized me for about five days. Over the next 3 months I was hit with two bouts of Covid and pneumonia, and I was diagnosed with Chronic Pulmonary Disease (COPD). In short, I’ll now be on oxygen 24/7 for the rest of my life. When I was released from the hospital I went home to my apartment. It was an upscale 850 sq. ft. one bedroom with a nice patio and some 700 other apartments. I realized that after 12 years I had not met or created a single friendship. Unfortunately, this is not an unusual situation. Anyway, by June my health was in such severe declin

I love the campus and location in the Memorial City area of Houston. Their campus is safe and well maintained. Their daily activities are numerous and diverse. Select Rehabilitation lead by Katie Leever, keeps the clients healthy and in motion. Every professional that I’ve encountered on their campus from Maurice Ayissi and his 3 decades of experience, to Daniel Hernandez and Christine Tran who always treats me like a valued friend, and on a first name basis. That’s what separates Brookdale from the competition, I trust them.
