Brothers Pure Transmissions

WOULD GIVE TWICE AS MANY STARS! What a diamond in the rough up here on the North side. I'm lucky to only live one mile away, but if you're searching for where to get transmission work done, look no further, THIS IS THE PLACE! I was doing my own work on two of my transmissions: AX5 and 10R140. Dave and the team have bent over backwards helping me to do my own repairs, which, as of the date of this post I’m still ironing out some details. Dave is not only super knowledgeable, but supports others’ learning and DIY. I’ve told him enough in person, but I really can’t thank him enough for the direction and assistance he provided.

I brought the G56 transmission out of my 2012 Ram 2500 6.7 Cummins to Brother’s Pure at the beginning of December because I was convinced something was wrong with it. After going through it, they told me straight up: nothing was wrong. They easily could have sold me a full rebuild and I would’ve trusted them to do it — but they didn’t. I bought a 4l60E transmission that came out of a 4by4 to put in my 2 wheel drive Chevy Avalanche and needed to change the output shaft from one to the other. I took it to David and he changed the shaft, replaced all of the seals at a REALLY GREAT price. After picking up my transmission and installing it back in my truck and adding the transmission fluid the truck would not move. I called David and he said to bring it back to him which I did. He disassembled the unit and did not see anything wrong. I told him that it may have been my fault (Which it is) and asked him what do I owe him for basically redoing my transmission again and he said that I owe him nothing.
