Bruckner's Mack & Volvo

Friday afternoon my Volvo's idler wheel broke off, leaving me stranded. No worries, I'll walk 3 miles to get the part from the Bruckner's, walk back, install the wheel, put belt back on and be on my way... NOPE! I arrived around 8:30ish. And they're closed!?! Their posted business hours is wrong on Google maps. The business hours on the storefront door obviously have been recently changed and no one updated shit! Very angry and disappointed

So I limped in for doing a turbo and part price is about what’s expected although i did have to weed through what parts were billed and needed but that was minor. Labor rate is astronomical. Its way higher than other large Volvo Mack chains I have delt with. One thing was mentioned was that the shop was actually less busy than its been. Wondering why? Maybe bring down the labor rate to come closer to the other dealers. Is it a DFW thing and other neighbor brands are comparable? I don’t know but when Sykes, General and Vision are in the in the mid 160-180 range depending on what’s being worked on vs a whopping $231 per hour , there’s something to be said about that. So do the mechanics make more per hour than the otherVolvo Mack dealers? If they don’t- they should- they are the star of the

Deija is always nice and welcoming at checkout I don’t know if that’s part of her job but she needs a raise I couldn’t small talk and be fake like that all day even on my best day with every customer lol
