The one star is for the older black lady with the gray hair tho is super nice and try to accommodate you .Also Brandy for helping get us another rental. If I could give budget zero stars I would. My sister rented a suv wanted the wagoneer when we got there was told they stopped renting them due to recalls 🤔 so we ended up getting a kia telluride not what we wanted but due to budget over booking and nobody's watching the online reservations the always over booked and the workers are very rude as if it's the customer's fault. We drove the telluride from bham to orlando Florida I noticed the warning light on and told my sister she looked and the tire pressure was low on the back lt tire reading at 28 got off the hwy got some air the rest of the tires were reading at 37. DO NOT EVER GO TO BUDGET TO RENT A CAR! They gave me a total rental price for my 5 day rental at booking. At the time of pick up they gave me a car that was mechanically shot. After driving about 250 miles it seems as though the engine/transmission started to make a HORRIBLE noise and continued that way until I got to my destination. I had to trade it out for another car once I got to my destination and the clerk there was more concern with me topping up the 4 gallons of gas than my safety in this raggedy car. She proceeded to swap the trash car with a car that wreaked with cigarette smoke. After returning home, the clerk at the Melbourne FL airport location charged me an extra $212.00 to add insult to injury. I complained about the extra charges and the manager, Lenny Melo had the AUD

Absolute TRASH!!!! Staff is not helpful and not professional. Donna is the worst person to have at the counter. She is unpleasant and unwilling to assist beyond passing out keys. The worst rental experience ever! Update: we had a major blowout on the highway at 1am after telling Donna the tire light was on and after she told us to simply add air. We were forced to drive on a donut for 8 hours. Then the car began vibrating. At 6am, we called to speak with Donna and she didn’t want help nor do her job. She was awful! When we arrived in Orlando, Mike, helped us without an issue and stated he has nothing but negative experiences with franchises like this location!!! Michael absolutely saved our trip! We picked up our first rental car from Lansing, Michigan, and once we got here to Alabama, we realized the locks were broken. We called the closest budget location in a panic and he said come on in and we’ll get it fixed. This was not Michael’s problem to solve, but he went above and beyond to fix it! We came in, filled out some paperwork, and walked out with an upgraded ride. He was a joy to work with and made it so easy. 100% recommend this location and Michael specifically!!

1 star Be extremely cautious when renting from Budget Rent A Car of Birmingham. I was charged roughly $300 more than expected, and when I contacted Budget customer service, I was informed that because this is an offline location, they cannot help with billing issues. The location offered no meaningful resolution, leaving me with an unexplained overcharge and no support system. This setup makes it very difficult for customers to dispute or correct errors. I would not rent from this location again and encourage others to double-check all charges before leaving the lot.
