Budget Car Rental

Thank you Budget downtown! Even though they do not have after-hours drop off, they helped me make arrangements. The staff was friendly and helpful. I hope you guys have a great weekend!

They deserve zero stars. Absolutely DO NOT rent from here. I reserved a one-way rental and received a damaged car. I did not know it was damaged until the car was in daylight, miles away from Chicago. When I returned the car at my airport, there was no damage report, so I was blamed for the damage. I submitted a dispute stating the car was damaged upon pickup but it was a denied and I received a bill for $2,469. You cannot reach an actual person when you call the number associated with this location, every option gets routed to a general agent. Consider yourself warned - DO NOT RENT from here!

The process of getting the car was quick and easy. The garage staff was super friendly and helpful, shout-out to the lady at the downstairs! That’s the only good thing I have to say about this place. The normal staff seem friendly and nice but there was another person (I think manager) who had this attitude. I made a change on my rental after I pre paid and apparently it’s more work for her and lashing out us. Making comments that pre paying would save $10 for this lot of hassle for her. We were renting for 5 days and obviously we would pre pay which actually saved us $250 on the rental and if she has the problem with budget policy she should check with their management, not lash out for doing what budget offered. If I could give negative stars for this, trust me I would. I rented a one-way car from Chicago to STL for pickup on Sunday. Little did I know, they close at noon on Sunday's, so I was unable to pick up my already-rented car for the day. At no point in the process did Budget contact me to let me know that 1) they are closing and you cannot pick up the car after that time 2) confirm my reservation 3) send any sort of pick-up instructions at all. If wasn't for the AMAZING customer service at Alamo right across the hall, I wouldn't have made my trip. Never renting through Budget again.

I rented a one way SUV from Chicago to L.A. for a business trip. The car I was given was amazing and the price even more so. The check in process was ok and the check out super fast. thank you for the brand new GMC Yukon Denali I was given. Amazing vehicle to drive for 2400 miles
